The Course
the DR Has Been Waiting For.

Las Iguanas was planned in the mid-2000s as the crown jewel of Cap Cana's golf portfolio. The 2008 financial crisis stopped it. For fifteen years, the shaped land sat dormant — until Nicklaus Design returned in 2023 to complete what was always destined to be built.

The course opened in November 2025. It was worth every year of waiting. Three holes play directly along the rocky Caribbean shoreline. A protected nature reserve of caves, wetlands, and indigenous vegetation — home to the native iguanas that gave the course its name — weaves through the layout, creating a setting unlike any other golf course in the region.
